Skytrax names the world’s best airlines for 2022

Qatar Airways has been named “ Airline of the Year 2022 ” by the transnational air transport standing organisation, Skytrax.
This is now the seventh time the Doha- grounded carrier has won the coveted main award, preliminarily taking it in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021 – the awards weren't issued in 2020 meaning Qatar has won title for three successive times.
Singapore Airlines and Emirates took alternate and third place independently.
The loftiest ranked European carrier was Turkish Airlines, coming in at seventh.
No US airline made the top ten. In fact the loftiest US carrier was Delta Air Lines making it at 24th.
United Airlines came in at 60th, whilst American Airlines made 68th.
Qatar Airways also took home three fresh awards including “ World’s Best Business Class ”, “ World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining ”, and “ Stylish Airline in the Middle East. ”
Qatar Airways Chief Executive,Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said “ To be named as the World’s Stylish Airline was always a thing when Qatar Airways was created, but to win it for the seventh time and pick up three fresh awards is a testament to all the hard work of our inconceivable workers.
“Their continued fidelity and drive is to insure our passengers have the stylish experience possible when they fly with Qatar Airways. To win these awards in the same time that we celebrate our 25th anniversary is indeed more satisfying and I want to offer a sincere thanks to all our passengers who suggested for us.
“Your support drives us to lesser achievements every day, we value your fidelity and aim to produce recollections of a continuance when you fly with Qatar Airways. ”
